Our Herrick Auto Rebuilders team is committed to serving our customers and community in the highest regards. For more than 73 years, we have loved being part of the incredible Crystal Lake community.
1948
Walt Herrick opened Herrick Auto Body Company in Crystal Lake on December 1, 1948 in the former Studebaker dealership.
1953
In 1953, Walt moved the business to its current location at 634 W. Terra Cotta (Route 176) near the intersection of Route 14.
1987
Walt retired in 1987, and his son Skip Herrick and his son-in-law Gary Riegler continued the business.
2021
After 73-years in the family, Chuck Gamalski purchased Herrick Auto Rebuilders and is now the new President. Chuck is continuing on the Herrick Legacy with the original staff and providing excellence in auto body repair and customer service.
